Singer/songwriter Brandon Sampson is on his way to usurping Conor Oberst as the prolific king of indie rock.
Sampson was born to a musical family in Palm Springs, CA. He started piano lessons at age eight, bass guitar at 10 and began performing in bands by age 14. He never dared to sing until he was old enough to vote.
Sampson has recorded three EP's, Revelation Smiley, My Eyes Fail, and More Than This, as well as the full-length Brokenness Is Beautiful. The LP is his most personal collection of songs as it "sums up the past eight years of my life and emotional growth," he says, "not just musically but personally."
The music is reminiscent of emo/alternative rock groups such as Dashboard Confessional, Bright Eyes, Augustana and Copeland. The music shares a thematic similarity as well. "I share my heart and my convictions in a way that people can relate to," he says of his lyrical work. "I want to convey hope and truth in a tangible way. I try to capture the true emotion that different life experiences bring to the surface."
Sampson has toured extensively throughout the United States and across the world in places such as South Africa, Australia, Japan and Mexico. He has also made numerous radio and television appearances both nationally and internationally.
Brandon Sampson is currently working on a new album for release in 2009.

sorry it took so long to respond, our internets been super sketchy lately... recording sounds really exciting though! i'm sure it will be amazing. and life for me has been pretty good, i love all of my classes and we still have amazing weather :)

Dude I loved it. Maybe next time I have a chance to see you, maybe play Open The Eyes To mY Heart Lord. That song is great. The first time i heard that song was under the rain. A friend and I were hangging out after guitar class. He told me about the song. He then played it. It was a real blessing. Play that song too if you can.
